Ready to rev it up for the world’s most thrilling motorsport event? Here’s what to expect and pack like a seasoned race-goer for the Singapore Grand Prix 2026.
By Felicia Chua
The Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix returns from 9 to 11 October 2026, bringing three days of night racing, live entertainment, and off-track activities to F1 fans. As spectators strategise to claim the best vantage spots, drivers are strapping in to take on the Marina Bay Street Circuit, weaving around the Marina Centre and Padang area for the ultimate high-octane race.
Among this year’s highlights, Singapore gears up for its inaugural F1 Sprint, closes the last race of the 2026 Porsche ARbox Carrera Cup Asia season, and brings in chart-topping musicians for non-stop entertainment on and off the track. With less than a week left, we round up what to expect, how to get around, and the essentials you’ll be thankful to bring along.

Navigate the Singapore Grand Prix like a pro
- Best viewing spots: According to Formula 1, Turn 1 is where you’d want to be at the Singapore Grand Prix. Not only does it offer spectacular views as the cars accelerate into the first corner before braking hard and whipping through Turns 2 and 3, but you’ll also get a great view of the start as the drivers blast off the line. If you prefer roving around the 4.927km circuit, the viewing platforms strategically dotted along the Walkabout routes provide pretty good views. Instead of being tied to one spot, stretch your legs and get to the heart of the action from multiple close-up angles. To plan your route in advance, refer to the Circuit Park Map.
- Headliners: This year’s headliners include world-class acts Lana Del Ray, Zara Larsson, Janet Jackson, The Killers, JJ Lin, CORTIS, Goo Goo Dolls, and more. To catch your favourite artistes in action, be at the Padang Stage early to secure a spot. Entry to the Fan Zone — the closest you’ll get to the stage — is on a first-come, first-served basis, and re-entry is prohibited once maximum capacity is reached.
- Getting there: Road closures will be in place for the Singapore Grand Prix, so take note of reroutes and access points. To beat traffic congestion, public transport is your best option to get in and out of the city centre fast. Train services will be extended, and the closest stations are City Hall, Esplanade, Promenade, Bayfront, and Raffles Place, depending on the exit you take.
What to pack for the outdoors
The Marina Bay Street Circuit is said to be one of the most physically demanding on the racing calendar. With a bumpy street surface, 19 gruelling corners, and the unforgiving humidity of tropical Singapore, drivers have plenty to think about as they set out to conquer the circuit at the Singapore Grand Prix. Drivers can only grit their teeth through the harsh conditions, but thankfully, we spectators can breeze through the three-day fiesta with the right prep.
Gates at the Singapore Grand Prix open mid-afternoon, when outdoor elements are the most unpredictable. But rain or shine, the race must go on. To combat the unforgiving sun, be sure to slather on sunscreen and put on a cap. A high-speed, portable fan such as the Handy Fan Ice Press FF28, which boosts an integrated ice compress cooling function, is also a lifesaver to keep you from sweating through your stylish F1 fit. In the event of a sudden downpour, it’s best to coat your shoes with water-repellent spray before heading out, and stay dry with a poncho.
Between the stage performances and night races, you’ll have a long day ahead recording your best memories at the Singapore Grand Prix, so keep your devices powered with the PD30W fast-charging Mazer MagLink70 Qi2 Wireless Powerbank.
You’ll be out and about the entire day, so hydration is key. Bring along a large-capacity 700ml Thermal Flask and refill at water points. Note that the venue limits each person to no more than 1 litre per bottle, while food and other beverages are not permitted. For more information, read up on the event guide before heading out.
Watching the Singapore Grand Prix at home
If braving the crowd isn’t your thing, you’re probably all set up to catch the race on livestream. For a night of adrenaline-pumping action, why not get some small bites and invite a few friends for a watch party? Our personal favourite is the myEureka Assorted Gift Box, with eight popcorn canisters bursting with flavours such as BBQ, Caramel, Cheese, and more to cater to every taste bud.
The night races at the Singapore Grand Prix may be the mainstay this weekend, but there are other forms of entertainment to bask in the F1 spirit too. Pit your wits against family and friends, and put your F1 trivia knowledge to the test with The Official F1 Quiz Book. If you’ve joined the national ReadSG Challenge, clock your 15-minute daily reading goal with swoony, high-stakes F1 romance such as Formula He’s the One or The Fast Track.
