For the first time in the festival’s history, POPULAR Bookstore has been appointed the official bookstore for the City Reading @ SG 2025, Singapore’s key Chinese-language literary event.

Held from 27 June to 2 July, this year’s festival launches with the theme “Moments in Time”, offering nearly 30 activities including book launches, literary talks, film screenings, cultural tours, and art workshops. Events will take place across venues such as The Arts House, Capitol Theatre, and Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay.

POPULAR Bookstore will organise a special book fair at The Arts House, featuring Chinese and English titles by participating authors, along with children’s books, and cultural & creative merchandise.

Ms Emily Yiu, CEO of POPULAR Singapore, shared that the collaboration is a meaningful extension of our mission to celebrate Singapore’s vibrant literary culture and make quality books and educational resources accessible to all.

城事阅读节一直是新加坡的主要华文文学盛世。今年，大众书局更是首次担任城市阅读节的指定书局。

本届阅读节将于6月27日至7月2日举行，以 “个人 • 时代” 为主题，将带来近30场活动，包括新书发布、文学讲座、电影放映、文史导览及艺术工坊等。活动场地涵盖旧国会大厦艺术之家、首都剧院及滨海艺术中心等文化地标。

大众书局将在旧国会大厦艺术之家设立专门的书籍展会，展售本届城市阅读节作家的中英文佳作，以及各类推荐好书。现场还将提供多种儿童读物和独具匠心的文创产品。

大众书局首席执行官姚雅愉表示，此次合作体现了大众书局一贯的理念: 阅读的力量能够连接人心、启迪思想、振奋精神，并能够跨越世代。
