Refreshed POPULAR Store Returns to Tampines Mall
POPULAR Bookstore has reopened its outlet at Tampines Mall on 6 March 2026, welcoming shoppers back after closing for renovations on 1 February.
A fixture at Tampines Mall since 2004, the refreshed outlet now greets residents in the east with a brand-new look while continuing to offer the wide range of products customers have come to expect. Spanning about 8,000 sq. ft., the store carries English and Chinese books, textbooks and assessment books, gadgets & IT products, as well as stationery, lifestyle items, and Cultural & Creative merchandise, making it a one-stop destination for students, families, and book lovers alike.
Zhong Bao Bao Photo Spot and Heritage Wall
Visitors to the store will be greeted by POPULAR’s resident red panda, the paw-sitively adorable Zhong Bao Bao (众宝宝), stationed at the entrance. Shoppers can snap photos with Zhong Bao Bao against a charmingly cosy backdrop designed to capture the warmth, nostalgia, and fond memories of a neighbourhood bookstore. Right beside the display is a heritage wall that highlights key milestones in POPULAR’s journey in becoming a centennial bookstore brand.
Beyond the display, the revamped store design has also been thoughtfully enhanced both aesthetically and functionally, guiding shoppers naturally through the space and making browsing more seamless and enjoyable.
Reopening Sale with Discounts Up to 50% Off
To celebrate the reopening, POPULAR Tampines Mall is holding a special Reopening Sale that also coincides with POPULAR’s Mega Sale, giving east-siders even more reasons to drop by!
Shoppers can enjoy 15% off at Mega Stores on selected product categories, along with reopening deals at POPULAR Tampines Mall offering fresh finds at up to 50% off. Known for their cute illustrations and witty puns, the stickers are now available exclusively at the POPULAR Tampines Mall and will be progressively rolled out at other outlets. As part of the opening promotion until 15 March, shoppers can purchase five or more stickers at $2 each!
