Shoppers were met with plenty of surprises and laughter at POPULAR Waterway Point with a lively lineup of kids’ activities and family-friendly entertainment.

In celebration of the newly-opened POPULAR Waterway Point, we hosted a fun-filled family day for shoppers with a Junior Trolley Dash and a lively party on 24 May. It was a chance for shoppers to fully immerse themselves in the kid-centric features of the store — like junior trolleys, a dedicated kids’ cashier counter, and the Learn & Play Corner.
Junior Trolley Dash for Prizes
Five qualifying parent-child duos were selected to take part in our exciting Junior Trolley Dash challenge.
Each team had five minutes to dash through the store, hunting for school essentials, storybooks, and games on the checklist, all while filling up their junior trolley. All items must be placed inside the trolley to qualify as prizes. At the cue of the timekeeper, it’s ready, set, dash!
From stationery featuring fan-favourite characters like PAW Patrol and Bluey to beloved children’s books like Dog Man and Pokémon, the options were endless!
With teamwork, coordination, and a dash of strategy, every duo happily filled their trolleys with prized items. The teams beamed with pride as they posed for a group photo, showcasing their wins of the day.
Come Party With Us
In the afternoon, shoppers were also invited to join our weekend celebration — Party With Us! Kids had a blast being entertained while parents snapped picture-perfect moments at every turn.
No POPULAR party is ever complete without our beloved mascot, Zhong Bao Bao (众宝宝)! The paw-sitively adorable red panda delighted young fans with warm hugs and greetings!
The live magic show was a big hit with kids and adults alike. It didn’t take long for the curious little ones to gather around the stage, attentive eyes trained on the magician so as not to miss a single trick.
The party also featured an interactive storytelling session, colouring activities, and balloon sculpting fun! With the lively lineup of kids’ activities and family-friendly entertainment, there was laughter ringing throughout the store, marking the perfect end to the weekend bash.
