Synopsis

The Detective Is Already Dead 01 follows Kimizuka Kimihiko, a high school student who has a tendency to get involved in trouble, leading him to meet the legendary detective Siesta on a hijacked airplane. He becomes her assistant, and together they travel the world solving dangerous cases involving secret organizations and supernatural threats. However, the story takes a dramatic turn when Siesta dies, leaving Kimizuka behind to return to a normal life. Years later, he is pulled back into mysteries connected to her past, meeting new allies who seem strangely linked to Siesta. As he confronts lingering cases and unresolved emotions, the narrative weaves between past and present, exploring themes of loss, identity, and continuing a legacy after death.
