About the Author & Illustrator

Valerie Pereira is one of the authors of Go Shanti Go, a picture book she wrote with her sisters to encourage children to dream big. She is also the author of the Celebrations in Singapore series, which includes picture books on how children celebrate different festivals in Singapore: Stars on Orchard Road, Dragons in Chinatown, Peacocks Around Little India and The Moon over Geylang Serai.

Aliyah Jamil, a designer and developer with an Information Systems background, has a profound passion for interactive design. She delights in the art of storytelling and illustrating for children. Her debut picture book, The Moon over Geylang Serai, brilliantly combines her creative pursuits.
