What does it take to be a doctor?

Divya, Yao Quan, Paul, Samantha and Shafia come from vastly different backgrounds but are aiming for the same goal: to graduate from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in NUS as doctors. They hear it's not easy. It's not just difficult tests and a substantial syllabus they have to face; they're learning every day that the things they deal with are quite literally a matter of life and death.

About the Author & Illustrator

Suffian Hakim is the author of several books, including the bestselling Harris bin Potter and the Stone Philosopher. The Straits Times has called him “undoubtedly one of the most whimsical, creative and unpretentious young voices in Singapore literature”. Suffian is currently a writer at Big 3 Media.

Eugene Lim is an illustrator who specialises in character design and portraits. His distinctive illustrations and doodles have graced countless walls and he has also worked with a wide array of clients, including Samsung, Apple and Pocky.
