About the Author
Amar-Singh HSS is a lifelong birdwatcher with a
special interest in bird behaviour. He has authored two books on city and
highland birds, as well as many articles in publications such as BirdingASIA,
the Bird Ecology Study Group website and the Malaysian Bird Report. He is the
Editor of the Malaysian Bird Report and a member of the Malaysian Nature
Society Bird Conservation Council Records Committee.
Kim-Chye Lim took early retirement to pursue his interest in birds.
He worked for the Malaysian Nature Society as its Ornithological Officer,
focusing on nature park management, hornbill conservation and raptor migration
projects. He has also done consultative work on birds and other fauna and has
co-authored publications on hornbills, raptors and the field guide Birds
of Malaysia.
David Bakewell has a particular interest in bird identification,
migration and shorebirds. He has authored publications on biodiversity
management in agricultural landscapes, shorebird study and many papers on bird
identification and conservation. He supports conservation through involvement
with the Oriental Bird Club, the Malaysian Nature Society, the Wild Bird Club
of Malaysia and the Shorebirds Peninsular Malaysia Project.
