About the Author
Kamo is a Japanese illustrator and drawing instructor known for her warm, character-focused style and approachable teaching approach. After working as a designer in advertising production, she became a freelance illustrator, creating artwork across books, advertisements, and character-based projects, later expanding into video and consumer products. She teaches illustration courses in Japan and internationally, and is recognised for making drawing feel accessible through simple methods that help beginners get started quickly.
Kamo has authored several popular drawing and doodling guides, including How to Doodle Everywhere and How to Draw Almost Every Day: An Illustrated Sourcebook, and she is also a co-author of How to Draw Almost Everything for Kids.
