LEARNING+ PSLE ENGLISH LANGUAGE ORAL COMMUNICATION Practice Tests Primary 6 aims to help students to prepare for the Oral Communication component of the PSLE examinations. The examination consists of two parts: Reading Aloud and Stimulus-based Conversation. LEARNING+ PSLE ENGLISH LANGUAGE ORAL COMMUNICATION Practice Tests Primary 6 consists of 12 Practice Tests. Each Practice Test simulates the actual examination and contains a Reading Passage and a Stimulus-based Conversation visual. A set of stimulus-based prompts is also included for the teacher or examiner. The topics chosen are closely aligned to current topics of interest and situations that students can relate to.

Reading Aloud
Each Practice Test includes a page on Focussed Practice. This draws students’ attention to pronunciation of some words and tonal changes that can be applied to certain stretches of text.

Stimulus-based Conversation
Each Practice Test includes My Notes on the Topic, which consists of brief prompts to the photograph provided. Students can jot down their notes in the space provided. Should they need more information on the topic, they may refer to the Suggested Answers to supplement their answers. Through a familiarisation of both topic and format, it is hoped that students will gain confidence and enhance their oral communication competence.
