One-stop English is written with a view to supplement the reaching of English language in Singapore schools today, particularly in light of recently announced changes. With emphasis on reading and writing, this series provides students with ample opportunities to read, comprehend and write so that English language learning becomes a more wholesome experience. Each unit begins with a Reading and Comprehension passage. These passages have been written to follow closely the themes in major reading texts used in the new English programme. Additionally, difficult vocabulary words are highlighted in each passage with meanings given. These passages are followed by challenging exercises relevant to the new mode of learning the language to ensure that students get enough practice to refine their grasp of the language as early as possible. This series will definitely benefit students in learning the language.
