Extra-fine, artist-quality semi-hard square dry pastels designed for sketching and drawing with the smooth feel of soft pastels. Made with ultra-fine pigments for smooth application, excellent colour release, and strong tinting strength, delivering rich, vibrant hues with consistent performance.

The square shape allows versatile use for both detailed and expressive work — use the corners for fine lines and the sides for broad strokes. Pastel sticks can also be scraped with a blade or craft knife to create powder for blending and gradient effects using fingers, a pastel brush, cloth, or paper stump.

These water-soluble pastels can be used with water to achieve beautiful watercolour effects. They offer good adhesion on most paper types, produce less dust, and minimise staining on hands or clothes, making them cleaner and easier to use.

Designed to be break-resistant and less brittle, the pastels will not crumble easily and offer good lightfastness, making them ideal for both studio work and outdoor sketching.
